Osaka Electro-Communication University Version

Knoppix is a Linux distribution LiveCD. Knoppix is a Debian based Linux distribution running on a CD drive without using the hard drive or installing any files onto the hard drive. Knoppix was developed by GNU/Linux consultant Klaus Knopper.
We costomize our KNOPPIX that is named "Knoppix DD" by KNOPPIX Japanese Edition customised by AIST(Advanced Industrial Science and Technology).

We open the new Knoppix DD. In this version, we change to use X11 protocol with ssh. Hereby, you can use X11 applications inside the server of ECIP on your computer.

In Linux World Expo/Tokyo 2005, we run a booth of KNOPPIX with any colleges teachers using for education. In the booth, we seted up computer running KNOPPIX and many people tried to use it. And we distributed many KNOPPIX CDs/DVDs, manuals, and leaflets.
