Prime Minister Mahathir visited
Dr. Mahathir Mahamed, Prime Minister of Malaysia visited Shijonawate Campus in Osaka Electro-Communication University, January 19,2001.

This visit of Prime Minister Mahathir was realized for key word "IT-Education": expanding information technology and education that supported it. Osaka Electro-Communication University has the advanced education system known as "OECU method", and has educated with it since 1978. In 2000, latest education system was installed No.6 building for "Department of Media-Information Culture" in Shijonawate campus. This system has many feature of suitable for media education.
The computer has capability to triple boot Windows NT, Linux and BeOS, and these are chosen corresponding to the purpose. Therefore this system can support many media and possibilities of media learning. This is said to be the first official introduction of BeOS in the world.
In Creation Room, Prime Minister looked the animation lecture used Moho on BeOS and "Monitor-Matrix" to scan 9 monitors of student computer at a time.

Prime Minister listened to Director Tsushima explaining how "Monitor-Matrix" supported teacher.
Director Tsushima explained "Center Monitor".
