Our laboratory is devoted to research in the areas of visual information processing, pattern recognition and computer vision. Long-term research goals are the realization of higher-level machine recognition capabilities, such as recognizing persons in office environments, determining their identities, recognizing their motions, and what actions they are taking. In order to achieve this (still remote) goal, we try to find solutions on the levels of individual algorithms, system components, and complete system architectures.
