Faculty of Information and Communication Engineering
Creating new worlds of information and knowledge, and opening the doors to a "ubiquitous network society"
Engineering Informatics is a cutting-edge field that creates new worlds of information and knowledge. The Faculty of Information and Communication Engineering offers its students a broad expanse of knowledge about areas including network and software development, and creates human resources that can contribute to a rich information society. With respect to Telecommunications and Computer Networks, the faculty offers its students practical study of the Telecommunications and Computer Networks technology that supports the world of broadband, including optical communication and ADSL, and seeks to cultivate top leaders who will be able to open the doors to a "ubiquitous network society."
Department of Engineering Informatics
"Information" is the keyword – using computers to lead the way to new possibilities of knowledge
Using high performance computers, the Department of Engineering Informatics provides stages of education and research about advanced theory and technology that generates, transforms, collects, accumulates, and processes information for human intellectual activities. The scope of study of this department covers various fields, including artificial intelligence, pattern recognition, multimedia, network, quality management, and system software.
Department of Telecommunications and Computer Networks
Raising the next generation of engineers who will build the future of network communication
The world is connected by networks, and the times are calling for a ubiquitous network that "connects" anyone, anywhere, and at any time. Students of the Department of Telecommunications and Computer Networks become technicians who will apply themselves to the development and spread of 21st century communications technology. Feel free to seek out what you want to do and who you want to become in the three branches offered by this department: Broadband, Internet, and Multimedia.
