The Department of Engineering Informatics pursues advanced theories and technology to fully utilize the magnificent tool that is the computer, to generate, transmit, collect, accumulate, and process information for human intellectual activities. The subjects of this department’s instruction cover a truly diverse range, including artificial intelligence, pattern recognition, visual informatics, cognitive science, the Internet, databases, computer graphics, and data science.

Telecommunications network technology for the 21st century is represented by the three fields of broadband, Internet, and multimedia. The Department of Telecommunications and Computer Networks offers extensive education in these fields, to develop engineers who will represent the next generation.
