Transcending “play” and creating new possibilities for digital games to spread across the world.
In the world of digital games, technology and art are brought together and converge. At the Department of Digital Games, students comprehensively learn about various forms of technology for expression, including computer science, programming, 3DCG, design, animation, and sound, and the department develops human resources able to create revolutionary digital content for people to enjoy, as well as new applications and tools to enrich people’s lives.
Gaining the ability to perceive games as content, and deploy them across a wide range of media and disciplines.
Games are created from the fusion of technology, media and art. This has great possibilities and games are going beyond the scope of just recreation to become a technology that will use “enjoyment” to change society. These two departments each take their own original approaches to the nurturing of the human resources who will support this future for games.
Enabling social networking on smartphones, and opening up pathways for a new era of information technology.
The Department of Computer Science includes two courses to learn about computer science, which is moving forward and progressing every day. The Computer Science Course, certified by JABEE, develops specialists in information processing who can handle information systems and networks. The Digital Media Course provides instruction on designing and managing digital contents such as CG and web elements, developing human resources who can soar high in an advanced information society.
